Wow. What an awesome movie. And it's got Claire Danes, Billy Bob Thornton, and Minnie Driver doing voices? Whoa!
Ahhhhhhh, time to finish watching Princess Mononoke!! *grabs the popcorn*

...okay, so it's only a cookie. Go away.
Happy birthday (tomorrow) KC!

Set up a link to Final Fantastory on the left side, there's a banner leading to the mini-site I have set up for whatever develops - right now there's some sketches and that little Figaro brothers thing.

And! Yes!! A different downloading princess mononoke works!! But I'll have to wait to watch it, I'm falling asleep as I type....

It's 6 pm and all I've eaten today is two fuzzy peach candies. This can't be good. Don't forget to email Ry and wish him a happy birthday.
Y'know...I *was* about to go to bed. Get a good night's rest, yadda yadda yadda. And then I thought "Gee, it really isn't very late." And THEN I thought "My class doesn't start until 1 pm. That's over 12 hours away. What the hell am I doing?" And so I came back down to muck around some more.

It is RYAN SAN'S BIRTHDAY today! This is Ryan! In case you don't know (which I'm sure actually no one will), I've known Ryan since birth, as our parents were friends from way back. So I've grown up with San. Played soccer and hockey with him. Smashed things together. (okay, so it was usually me doing the smashing, so what.) I never went to school with him though, as he went to DT and then to Sahali, where as I was an Oak Hills and Westsyde kid. Ry worked (works?) at Safeway, and though he could remember the 7 digit number for pineapples, he could never remember how much they cost.

This is the important (*evil grin*) part!! If you are reading this, please take a moment to email Ry and wish him a happy birthday! Be odd! Be bizarre! Be cryptic! Maybe don't even tell him I sent you. Just don't be mean. Because being mean to people on their birthdays just isn't cool.

Rule 1: Being mean to people on their birthdays is not allowed, cause that's just not cool.

And if by some odd twist of fate you see this Ry - what about MY transformers shirt? huh? Huhhhh? :P

Well, even if the Princess Mononoke movie didn't work, I did take a whole bunch of screen captures, which can be seen below. (just a note, when you click a thumbnail, the picture will be a popup, and it'll be slow but it WILL load.)

Nooooooooooooooo!! The Princess Mononoke video only plays to 40 minutes in! Aaaaarghh!
Okay, I don't know the story of Card Captor Sakura or Cardcaptors or whatever it its, but I'll say a few things for it:
1 - It's got great artwork.
2 - Sakura uses rollerblades! While she's fighting the latest card spirit or whatever. That's pretty cool.

Princess mononoke is pretty cool. And the main character guy - not a fighter, not a knight, but an archer. And I love archers. :)

Ah ha, today! A revelation! The many movies I've been downloading that just would not work, no matter what - they work in that which I used to despise and really wouldn't have if it hadn't been included in Windows - Realplayer! So I'm watching Princess Mononoke right now, and it's sweet...
Ahahahaha...what a wicked site.

I'm at home, finished my *ahh* two hours of class today. Did some more sketching. Will post later. Must sleep now.

I had a total of 27 minutes of class today.

How sweet is that?!

I already mentioned the short Anthro class, well Political Science with Trev was only 14 minutes. Niiiiiiice. And then, the 2 seminars - Anthro and Poli Sci - were both cancelled as well! So I went home at about 1:30 instead of at 5! Can't complain about that!

Speaking of Canwon, here's a picture. It's JON!

Maybe in our seminars we'll do some cut and paste...and make a big collage out of pictures or something. Something therapeutic - you're in college now, you need it!
So spoke Cythia, my Anthropology prof. I had Cynthia last year for an Anthro class as well, so this should be alright. Though unfortunately I don't know anyone in my class. I'm in the lab right now waiting for Trevor to get out of his class, history I think it was. I'm waiting cause Cynthia dismissed the class after only 13 minutes. Not bad, considering it's supposed to be a 2 hour class.

I really hate parking here. There's only good parking at 8 am, or like 6 at night. Otherwise you drive around like vultures, lurking in wait for victims who go to their cars, hoping above all that they're leaving and not just going to change books. You get hyper-critical of others' parking: (spots a car parked crookedly) "Look at that jerk! What a brutal parking job! I mean - THREE cars could fit there!" You also get accustomed to the art of tossing your books out the window before squeezing into a spot that's so tight you have to crawl out the window.

Parking.

I hate it.

Testing a new design!!
Which is the result of my moving the blog from blogspot.com to aspekt.net - meaning, more creative power!!

Added one of my better sketches to The Drink. It's of Sabin from Final Fantasy 6 - I'm in Final Fantastory mode it seems.
Now that I've had my night class, I can safely say that luck was with me today! In the morning I forgot to buy a day-parking stub, and when I returned to the car (only 2 hours later) I said hello conversationally to this man walking nearby. Get in the car, *whew* when I see no ticket. Look up, and there's the same guy, checking the tickets of the car three cars down. THREE CARS DOWN! I lucked out. (irregardless of the fact that UCC would be bastards if they gave actual tickets and not warnings on the first day at 10 am, but hey, they might.)

In Biology it was PACKED! But I know one person, Clarence, who was in my french class last fall. So we're gonna partner for the labs. And the teacher's nice. Oh, and the thing we use for notes and marks and projects and stuff - WEBCT (ceetee) :)

So far I'm having really good luck sketching during class...in one way, that's good, although I suppose it's not so good looking at it from a more serious perspective. I'll post one of these sketches on The Drink tomorrow.
Well, first day of school went swell. My english prof is cool and casual - and Rikki's in the class, so all is well. Well not ALL, I still need to buy a parking pass and books. :P

On a plus note, I did do some sketches for the Final Fantastory thing, which I'll put up. It's strange - now I'm picturing in my head, the story as a comic instead of a, well, story. Hrm.
Wow, awesome! One of the classes I'm taking simply because I have to (as it's a pre-requisite to get into Journalism), Political Science 111, well I wasn't looking too forward to it. I really don't care for/like/understand/etc politics. BUT, I just found out that TREV is in my class! Rock on! Now it'll be (hopefully) sweet...or at least more tolerable. :)

Final Fantastory.
(this is where the final fantasy 6 story I'm writing will be, but for now it'll just be little things to pass the time.)
I don't remember if I ever wrote about the incredibly small airplane that I took from Calgary to Kamloops on the end of my trip, but there's a picture of it below. You can see every seat in the picture. As in, there is nothing, save a tiny restroom, that was on the plane that is NOT in the picture. (at the lower corners are the edges of the rear-most seats)

I love it! Love it! Simply love it - this log is money. (warning: may load slow)

And yes, I am the Mike E mentioned.

On other notes, everyone should be wherever they are for Uni in the upcoming year...Aaron is in London, Ontario (Yes, Aaron, that *is* a link to AKpCEP), Justin's in Vancouver for UBC, Katie is in Victoria for UVic - hope everyone's settling in well.

An update on the Final Fantasy III storyproject - I've logged about half the game. However, that's only logged - by that I mean (I'm playing this on emulator) saving states at various places throughout the game so I can instantly pick up the game at any one part, or "chapter" as I need to. How much have I actually recorded? The first chapter. And that hasn't been "storyized" yet. But, I'm planning on having two versions, one for slower connections, one for faster. While the actual text content will be the same, the slow version will be purely text, while the faster connection will have pictures (screen captures), any art I do about this, maybe even music, maybe even animations or movie clips. At least - that's the PLAN.
hmm...testing?
Well, if you can see the picture below (which I can) it means the server is WORKING AGAIN! Which means pics, scans, Drink sketches, whatever will soon be online again.

Adbusters. The name of a magazine I picked up in Van, it's all anti-corporate logo/slogans and stuff...I haven't had time to delve into their actual ideals yet, but they have some WICKED design stuff in the mag. I mean, hardcore creative genius at work stuff. As soon as Erin gets his server up and running again, I'll post some scans of it.

On that note, I'll also then post the canwon pictures.

Testing, new link (adbusters) on the side.
Oh yes, almost forgot. School starts again on Tuesday.
I've got...one class. In the day, at least. Then I've got an evening class, I think it's Biology.
